THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION

"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have receive the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father"  (Rom. 8:15).

Religion has a very difficult time giving up control of man through the law.  While at times it appears that they are well-intended, we know where good intentions can often lead.  Good intentions by themselves, seldom lead us to the correct outcome.  Paul makes it clear that the law was our tutor or schoolmaster to bring us to Christ so that we could be justified by faith (Gal. 3:24).  Paul goes on to tell us, that  "after faith has come, we are NO LONGER under a tutor" (Gal 3:25).  That is a hard statement for religion to swallow.  That just cuts their control plan for man to ribbons.  However, that it the reality of the eternal plan of our Father that he has for us.

Our Father saw to it that we were Spiritually rebirthed and that we would have the Seed of Christ to be placed in us at the initial moment of that Spirit rebirthing ( I Pet. 1:23).  From that very moment we were made sons of God and joint heirs with Jesus (Gal. 4:1).  While we received everything complete in us in the Spirit realm, we were just the same in the soul realm -- our mind, emotions and will.  The Holy Spirit would then have to reveal Christ in us, and train and teach us who we are in Christ (Gal. 4:2).  This is extremely important for our fellowship with the Father.  The Divine operation of the Trinity works this way.  The Father send the Holy Spirit to save and then teach us.  The Holy Spirit reveals and teaches us Christ (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13-15).  Then, Christ reveals and teaches of the Father (Matt. 11:27).

There will come a day in this process should we allow it, where we will have so become one with Christ and His Spirit within us.  Paul tells us that the Father has truly "sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out , 'Abba, Father!' " (Gal. 4:6).  Christ is the Spirit of adoption in us manifesting and crying with intimate fellowship with our Heavenly Father -- "Daddy, Father -- I love you!!
