"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." (II Cor. 1:20).

All the promises of God are in Christ! When we received Christ placed in us at the Spirit birthing, then we received all the promises of God in Him.  Now positionally that is absolute truth.  However, unless the Holy Spirit has renewed our mind to know and believe that it is absolute truth, we may not be appropriating or seem to have these promises. That is not double-talk.  That is the exact missing link to the reality of receiving the promises of God.

Many Christians are attempting to find promises out of the Old Testament scripture and applying them to the Church.  We are told to rightly divide the Word of truth  (II Tim. 2:15). The majority of the Old Testament applies to the children of Israel.  The church is NOT spiritual Israel.  Israel was promised temporal blessings.  The church was promised spiritual blessings in the heavenlies in Christ (Eph. 1:3).  There is no wonder there is great disappointment with many in the church.  It makes no difference how much faith that you think you need.  If you are seeking God based on promises NOT made to you, then God may not give it to you at all.  There is no doubt, that God gives us many things simply by His grace, whether we are operating with a correct basis of His Word or not. God simply loves all of His Spirit birthed sons, and in early stages of their walk often reaches out in great and miraculous ways with His grace to give them what they request on the basis of their knowledge of Him.  There reaches a time in every Christian's walk, where the Father expects and requires some love and growth in His sons.  The Father wants them to learn to trust Him in accordance to the truth of the rightly divided word of God.

As Christians, we need our focus on Christ.  We need to know and focus that Christ is in us. As Christians, we need to have Holy Spirit revelation that the Father put Christ in us to operate in us and through us in a shared life.  The Holy Spirit will renew the mind that all things are in Christ in the eternal realm.  All the promises of God are in Christ!  V
