MERCY

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:4-6).

Our Father was so rich in mercy that He developed His eternal plan to have sons that would choose to be His sons in a loving relationship and fellowship.  He planned to place us in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4).  Even before Satan was created, God had already slain His Son the Lamb in His own mind to redeem us (Rev. 13:8).  In the beginning, God the Father spoke His Word and became His visible Son (John 1:1).  By and through His Son all visible things were created (Col. 1:15-16).  Our Heavenly Father with such great love for His sons, had the Holy Spirit birth us into the Body of Christ.  Christ the head was placed in every Spirit birthed member when they simply believed His Word of salvation.  What awesome love!  What awesome grace! What awesome mercy from our Heavenly Father!

Now, as new creatures in Christ Jesus we have a shared life. I yield to the Holy Spirit to renew the mind in me until it is filled with Christ and Him crucified.  I have a completed spirit, when I was joined to the Lord as one Spirit (I Cor. 6:17).  With a Spirit renewed mind in me, Christ can live and flow in me and through me in this shared life expression. Now, Christ can continue to fulfill the will of my Heavenly Father and in every member of the many membered Body of Christ.  Christ is an eternal being with eternal life as one of his attributes.  I now share in His eternal life and by the marvelous love, mercy, and grace of our Heavenly Father.

What great mercy and love, that my Heavenly Father would choose us while we would be considered dead in trespasses and sins.  We could never attain to fit with His righteousness and holiness.  However, that did not thwart or stop His divine plan for us. He so loved us that He sent His Son to indwell us (John 3:16).  Our Father will never leave us or forsake us (Hebr. 13:5).  In fact, He has put His Son as life and the Holy Spirit in us to be our teacher at salvation to seal the deal (Eph. 1:13).  Paul said, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20).  Christ gave up so much on the cross to pay the price of the 100% divine sacrifice, so that we could 100% be reconciled to our Father as being fully justified and blameless before Him (Col. 1:22).  Christ is still living in us every day giving up part of His life in behalf of us to live in and through us (Gal 2:20b).  That awesome grace certainly takes me to heavenly places of thanksgiving in Christ!
