CHRIST THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him" (Col. 1:15-16).

Do we really know God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, in creation and all things that we must face in life?  God the Father in the beginning of beginnings – thought.  His thought manifested and became His only begotten Son. Through the spoken word (Gk: Rhema) of His Son "all things were made" (Hebr. 1:2; John 1:3). When we look at Paul's list of all things in Colossians 1:15-16 above, can your identify anything that is not covered by that list? Christ, the Living Word, is the Creator of all things in the universe. All things in creation are by and through Him and for Him (Col. 1:15-16).

Paul also states, "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things" (Rom. 11:36). From or by Him are the things God actively directs or initiates. Through Him are the things that God works together through Christ in us and through us as we partner with Him.  To or for Him are the things God, through our own choices (in His permissive will) that we do for Him and/or He turns around for good (Rom. 8:28). So if I use a little math, where the sum of the parts does equal the whole, it will look as follows: (1) Things from or by Him + (2) Things through Him + (3) Things to or for Him = the Sum of all things. However, please notice that the sum of all things do not fall into the active column where God directs or initiates. There are two (2) other distinct categories as described where we have some part in the love fellowship process.

It is extremely important that we know our Father and Christ.  As Christians, we are responsible to make many decisions and choices.  We need to know the things that our Father and Christ have already fully done from or by Him, so we don't participate in needless fleshly or religious activities.  We need to know the things that are through Him, that we will be doing with Christ in this shared life together.  Finally, we need to know the things revolving the choices and decisions that our Father and Christ expect us to make to or for Him.  Certainly our decisions will be Spirit-led and Word-based. However, He expects us to actively make them.  What marvelous love and grace we have, in this new creation shared life with Christ the creator of all things! V
