BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Phil. 4:6).

Paul is giving the Philippians, as well as all Christians, seven (7) keys or steps to let Christ live in and through them as them.  The first step or key is rejoice in the Lord always (Phil 4:4).   The second step or key is to be anxious for nothing.  That is not an easy thing when old circumstances and situations (the old C&S gang) seem to come our way.  Remember, the Father knows and the Father cares.  Some of these things are what the Father uses to shape us and conform us to "the image of His Son" (Rom. 8:29).  That is why all things DO work together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28).

Paul didn't just leave us there with his love command to be anxious for nothing.  He then goes and tells us how that will be effected in us.  Paul says in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication.  These are not just a few things that we pick and choose when we want to.  These are not just the BIG things that we think are important to pray and supplicate about.  Paul wants to have a regular prayer-life as the way and manner that we spontaneously live.

Let me assure you that Christ prays.  He is ever living in the authority of the Father to make intercession for us (Rom 8:34).  I have Christ ever living in me as a Spirit birthed son of God.  I need to know Him.  I need to allow the Holy Spirit to renew the mind, until Christ has the Spirit renewed mind in me to flow and express Himself in and through me for others.  With Christ flowing in me, prayer and supplication for everything can and will be spontaneous.  Christ in me knows my needs and the needs of others.  Christ in me can flow by His Spirit to pray and supplicate for others according to the will of the Father.

When we are truly trusting Christ in us to be our life and watch Him spontaneously live in and through us we will be anxious for nothing! V
