TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOR AND STAND

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand"  (Eph. 6:13).

Every piece of the whole armor of God depicts a part of the personality of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only the Lord Jesus Christ has fulfilled every piece of this armor through His Person and His finished work on the cross. We received every part of Christ, His nature, His character and His strength at salvation.  When we simply believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and confessed Him as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit birthed us and Christ came to live in us as our life, righteousness, strength and power.

The Holy Spirit was the one who taught us as unbeliever of Christ for salvation.  The same Holy Spirit will now be the teacher and revealer of Christ in us as our life, expression, and strength for all we face (I Cor. 2:11-13).  We really must have the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ and His finished work of the cross, if we will be able to stand against the deception of the enemy (I Cor. 2:10,2).  The transformed renewed mind of Christ will be the source of insight that the Spirit will use to lead and guide us (I Cor. 2:16).  Through the mind of Christ we have discernment in the spirit (I Cor. 2:14).  The Holy Spirit will lead us to take up the whole armor of Christ everything that Christ is, and let Him appropriate His power and strength to withstand in us and stand against the power of the enemy through us. Only the Lord Jesus Christ expressing Himself in and through us today by His Spirit and personality can be the fulfillment of the whole armor of God.  We can only stand against the enemy in the person of Christ! Our waist or loins is girt around with truth. Christ is truth at the center and circumference of all that we stand for (John 14:6). Christ is our righteousness (I Cor. 1:30). We stand only in His righteousness. Our feet or walk is in the gospel of His peace, for He is our peace (Eph. 2:14). These three (3) pieces of the armor of Christ and His personality are our foundation (Eph. 6:14,15).

We must let the Holy Spirit at intervals renew our mind.  Every circumstance and situation that at intervals comes our way must be handled by the Christ-life in us.  Christ can only be expressed and flow forth in us, in proportion to the amount of mind renewal that has taken place, and our choice of agreement to stand in line with revealed truth.  If we don't know or believe that it really is all about Christ in us and His finished work through us, Satan will keep us deceived with other erroneous focuses in life and we will not be able to stand.  When Satan or evil circumstance comes our way, we must know Christ.  We must know the Christ in us.  We must know the Christ in us as us.  We must know Christ in us as us who has already completely defeated every facet of the enemy.  Christ is our whole armor.  Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the only true stand against the enemy!
