COMPLETE IN CHRIST
"And you ever are already been completed in Him, who ever is the head of all principality and authority" (Col. 2:10, Expanded Greek Translation – EGT).
There is a lot of teaching making the rounds today on how to be a whole or complete person. The majority of this teaching strictly deals with things out of the knowledge of good and evil and have nothing to do with the truth of God's word. Paul clearly declares that in Christ "ever dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Col. 2:9, EGT). Just think of that awesome thought and what that really says to and for the Christian. When we were Spirit rebirthed by the Holy Spirit, we receive the incorruptible Seed of Christ through the Word of God implanted in us (I Pet. 1:23). In that Seed was the COMPLETE Christ, in all nature, all character, all life, all Spirit, including the full manifestation of every member of the Godhead.
Where does Christ dwell related to every member of His body? Paul tells us that Christ lives in us, "the hope of glory" (Col. 1:27). So every member of the Godhead dwells in us. The Holy Spirit is to be teacher and revealer of Christ and renewer of the SOUL mind and heart (John 14:26, 15:26, 16:13-15). Christ is to be the person of life and expression in and through us as us. This is why Paul declared, "it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20). This clearly declared that Christ would live his life in and through us as us as the life and expression in our BODY. Christ will open the door of fellowship and communion with the Father in us in the SPIRIT. That awesome truth declares that the we are complete in Christ in every area of us in SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY!
Now, since we ever are already completed in Him, as Christians we are ready to face every thing we face with His love, strength, and power. How is that possible? Christ is ever the head of all principality and power (Col. 2:10). Jesus declared, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Therefore go. . ." (Matt. 28:18-19a). The Father has given all authority in heaven and earth to the Son. The Son lives in you with all authority in heaven and earth. Often our problems in our temporal circumstances and situations exist, because we do not know the fullness of the Son in us, and we do not let Him fully express Himself in us with all authority and nature.
We are complete in Christ (Col. 2:10). We need to live our shared-life in full union with Christ in Spirit, nature, character, and life. Paul declares that "Christ is all and in all" (Col. 3:11). Christ needs to be the all in all to and for every Christian. Do we know Christ in that closeness and fullness? Look as much as you want for answers on the outside. The ultimate truth is that Christ is the fulfillment of all answers that we are looking for right on the inside of us. Christ IS the answer, and He is living in fullness and we are complete in Christ, who lives in us as us! V
