WALKING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"  (II Cor. 10:3-5).

We certainly walk in this fleshly earth day by day.  Paul makes it clear that we are going to have some wars or some battles as we walk.  Make no mistake Satan will attempt to come against you from  time to time.  Our battle in this earth is not done  with fleshly armor, but spiritual armor and we must war accordingly.  Consider this truth.  Your battle ultimately isn't against Satan, for Christ defeated any hold that Satan could ever have on us with his 100% finished works of the cross.  Our real problem area and battleground area is in the mind.  If the Holy Spirit has not fully renewed our mind, the part that is not yet renewed is subject to the deception of Satan.  That's all Satan can do with us, since Christ took care of all things on the cross.  We need to allow the Holy Spirit to complete His work of mind transformation within us, then Christ within us will have all the strength that we need in the time of trial and temptation.  That's why Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Col. 1:13).  The mind of Christ within us is a powerful stronghold for Christ to use to pull down the strongholds of the enemy (I Cor. 2:16).

A Spirit rebirthed son has all that is necessary to stand against the power of the enemy,  through Christ who is his life.  Unless we have that Holy Spirit mind transfusion of the revelation of Jesus Christ and Him crucified (I Cor. 2:2), then that power of Christ will not be fully appropriated and expressed in us.  The enemy knows  this.  That is why the enemy's focus is to get us to think just about ourselves, others, circumstances,  and situations.  He wants  to keep us focused in the temporal realm.  We need to focus on  Christ the  power and wisdom of God (I Cor. 1:24).  When we bring every thought into captivity to the Christ that is within us, we will be walking in  the knowledge of God!
